About
Jake Fields, LPC
First off, thank you for being here. Maybe by accident, coincidence or intentionally, but I believe there's a reason. My name is Jake, I have been a therapist for about 7 years now. I work for Cornerstone Counseling in Muskegon, serving clients both in-person and virtually over Zoom. I have a lot of experience working with families, couples and in individual therapy. Life experiences, both good and bad, have equipped me well for helping walk alongside people in various challenging situations. I've been divorced, remarried, I co-parent, I've battled depression, anxiety and was diagnosed with ADHD at age 31. These experiences, along with my work experience and education, have given me quite the handle on life. I have a wife and two children, two dogs, two cats, and like 18 chickens last I counted. I love to hunt, fish, camp, hike, road trip, and other outdoor adventurous hobbies. More than any of this, I am a firm believer in Christ, and work every day to make God's will and my relationship with Him the priority of my life. This said, I do not push any religious beliefs on my clients, and clients have really been able to enjoy conversations about beliefs and values and feel comfortable doing so. If you become one of my clients, I look forward to working with you and can't wait to help you!

My Mission
You could say I'm obsessed with progress..
Since becoming a therapist, I have developed a strong desire to help people find progress in their life. I have always care about people and wanted to help and serve others, but have really found my niche in being a therapist. My mission, is to help you. I want to help you with whatever mess or situation you are stuck in. Whether it is depression, anxiety, anger, relationship conflict, a struggling marriage, divorce, co-parenting, parenting... the list goes on. Therapy with me is challenging, but rewarding, as we navigate different perspectives in order to help you navigate the challenges you are going through. Clients have found this therapy to be very productive and worth their time, compared to therapy experiences they have had in the past.
